Making sure your property details are accurate helps you get the most out of your RentSafe Safety Checks. If the wrong services are booked, it can lead to extra costs and even put the property at risk of being non-compliant!
It is important for property managers to understand that our service teams are scheduled according to the services required, so if 3 services are booked then the team includes a licensed gas fitter. If the team arrives at a property and finds that there is no gas, we have to invoice for all 3 checks.
Knowing whether a property has gas or not is essential for us to provide our safety check services.
On the other hand, if only 2 services are booked and our trades arrive to find gas at the property, the gas check will have to be undertaken at a separate time by one of our licensed gas fitters and will be charged as a separate cost. It’s also important to note that regardless of the extra cost involved with a separate visit, that property will be in breach of the Residential Tenancies Act if gas safety checks are not being completed every 2 years.

Our RentSafe Safety Checks are designed to provide cost-effective, efficient and hassle-free services to property managers and they do just that - IF we have the correct property information. If we don’t have the correct information, then you won’t be getting the full benefits of our services.
Let us provide you with the best possible service by providing us with the most up to date information about your properties!
